The entertainer. With views across to the city, the owners of this outdoor area wanted to make the best use of what they had. A long irregularly shaped site and restricted access had made their life difficult. They commissioned GFE to design an outdoor entertainment area to use all year round.  An innovative pergola with electronically controlled louvers was added to provide shade in summer and light in the winter along with a stacked stone water feature, retaining walls with a built in barbecue area and curved seats to enjoy the view. An elegant urn and tiered planting accentuate the view to this outdoor entertainment delight.

Kid's paradise. GFE was commissioned to design and re-invigorate this tired and neglected garden by the owner, a mining professional. The garden consisted of an existing pool, old pergola, paving and large overgrown trees and shrubs. GFE designed a series of free flowing curved rendered retaining walls with built in seats around the pool and new alfresco area.  An upper lawn area now provides a place to relax and is also a play area for the kids. New paving, decking and poured limestone offer interest underfoot and rendered beds close to the house produce herbs to spice up the kitchen table. The alfresco area doubles as a hockey rink for the kids and welcoming curved steps lead to the pool area above.
